The Other Storyteller (TOS)
Our work is a signature blend of tailored motivational interventions aimed at achieving unity through honoring cultural diversity in your organization.
"The Other Storyteller" was born during conversations we had with those who felt they were not fitting in with a certain group or team.
Human interactions are complex and othering can appear in everyday workplace conversations. If you ever felt that your part of the story is not being heard and your turn to talk never comes, you know what othering means.
Now, imagine you finally stepped forward to share your story, but those around you didn't hear it and there was no impact. This is where you come to TOS.
Our coaching methods are the result of several years of research and experience. We employ a system that brings other perspectives to light and allows your ideas to be seen from the right angle. Envision it, and we will show you how to get there. TOS will help you captivate your audience with an approach that uses a set of techniques developed for your specific situation.
Magdalena Mot, PhD, CMCS

Magdalena is a certified coach, experiential learning leader, educator, author, and one of the founders of The Other Storyteller. She is passionate about culturally integrated storytelling, a term she coined in 2024 with the launch of a fall webinar series offered through CERIC. She took her research further and implemented a new coaching system that focuses on storytelling techniques. With an academic background in cultural anthropology, her current research interests focus on cultural identities, storytelling during life transitions, and the invisible ties between one's cultural heritage and their professional development decision-making process. Magdalena empowers both organizations and individuals to move ahead using an authentic, step-by-step system that’s based on overlapping realities. Her work connects experiences gathered over 30 years of living, working, and studying in four countries and speaks directly to her core values of diversity, authenticity, and a drive to build inclusive communities.
Board Director at CERIC and ACE-WIL, an experienced educator, with over 14 years of teaching experience, Magdalena is able to place a unique spin on intercultural communication, career development, and life transitions in a global business ecosystem. Her holistic approach, tailored to each unique situation, has changed many lives.
